Technology may allow students to more confidently mimic pressures for accurate somatic dysfunction diagnosis and successful osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). Such technology also aids documentation of diagnostic and treatment pressure ranges used in research or care protocols. The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, in conjunction with Drs. Vardy & Dombroski, are developing protocols for a prototypic IsoTOUCH® Palpation Monitoring System (Neuromuscular Technologies).
