Concussion/mTBI, Risk of Fall and Rehabilitation

IsoBalance, CHOICE and MAZE are a 5 minute breakthrough medical system for objective, non-invasive, real-time, and accurate assessments to analyze concussions, rehabilitation progress and make return to play decisions. SPELL and PATHWAY are also included in IsoBALANCE to enable the measurement of rehabilitation progress for return to play, and cognitive/balance disorders.

CHOICE assesses the patient’s cognitive ability to problem-solve, recall and make decisions. CHOICE is a software based, non-invasive neurological assessment. CHOICE features unique algorithms which record a patient’s response time, accuracy and overall ability to retain information in their short-term memory.

MAZE assesses the patient’s ability to plan and form a strategy. MAZE is a software based, non-invasive neurological assessment. MAZE features unique algorithms which record a patient’s response time, accuracy and overall ability to solve a complex problem presented to them on the computer screen.

SPELL is a series of rehabilitation challenges using the patient’s postural control. SPELL is a customized software suite utilizing a non-invasive balance plate. The balance plate receives input from the subject which is interpreted by SPELL’s software algorithms to display biofeedback to the patient to engage with on screen.

PATHWAY is a series of rehabilitation challenges using the patient’s postural control. PATHWAY is a customised software suite utilising a non-invasive balance plate. Palpatory Investigation and Touch

JIEDDO, the US Army’s Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, funded studies in 2010 into the “replication of human touch” under the initiation of Lt. General Thomas F. Metz. The objective was to enhance counter IED robots with a form of “touch”. Consequently IsoTechnology developed the IsoTOUCH.
